If you think my desk looks a little different this week that's because it is. Moved into the conservatory because the light is better and I need all the help I can get when it comes the threading a needle these days.
Managed to finish the stuffed owl I started last week and here he sits, precariously, on my table. Not surprised as his feet look like they belong to a duck rather than an owl but I have told you before I can't draw and this was the best I could do at a drafting a pattern.
Sewing seems (no pun intended) to be my current addiction and I have another pile of fat quarters in the Really Useful Box on the left ready to start another Kindle cover for my sister.
Not a lot more done this week as Sorrel hurt her back on Friday (probably ran into something in the house when I was trying to amuse her during the wettest day for weeks here in the north-west. Vet gave her painkillers and she is back to her normal, mad, excitable self today but it took all my time at the weekend trying to keep her 'quiet' - and no, I'm not letting her anywhere near my owl.
Short and sweet this week so that all you WOWWYers can get round the multitude of desks that make up this weekly bloghop, courtesy of the lovely Julia of The Stamping Ground - why not pop over and have a snoop.

£1 Ready Specs are all over the house here Ann, can't see a bat or owl without them these days.
Glad Sorrel is skipping about again.
It's raining in the Rossendale Valley this morning and the towels are still on the line from yesterday. To busy crafting to bring them in. Haha.

Sorry to hear about Sorrel but of course I'm pleased to hear she is better. These little dogs do get into all sorts of mischief don't they? [we have 3 little cairn terriers so I speak with experience!]

Hi Ann,
Well I love your owl, with his duck feet! Very cute! And nice colours you have used for him too. My Kindle already has a leather cover but I'm thinking maybe I should make a cover for the cover?

I do hope Sorrel is OK ...the most frustrating thing about animals is that they cant tell you where it hurts.

Love, love, love the owl! So cute! Thanks for the peek at the desk and hope that your little guy continues to get better! (keep an eye on that owl!) Happy WOYWW! -Amanda x64
I like your new location near the windows, so nice to have a view and the sun! Your owl is very cute and I don't see a problem with his feet, he needs something to stand on after all.
Reading how you changed the pattern in the previous post made me laugh so much - I never stick to a pattern or recipe but do my own thing all the time. At least our stuff is then individual, lol!!

Love that owl, maybe with all the wet weather you've had in England he's morphing into a duck! Your garden looks beautiful and green though, we have crunchy brown grass and another 97F degree day tomorrow, it had dropped nicely at the end of last week but started climbing again yesterday. What I wouldn't give right now for some rain. Glad to hear Sorrel is doing ok again, can't keep a good dog down, lol!

Hi Ann! Yes my desk had ink & pinflair glue stuck to it in a major way, it looks for 48 hours well used :) at which point I panicked & got the window paint scraper out & bottle of bleach :)) typically me, clean & neat freak! Love the Owl you have made, have you finished it yet? How great to have such a light space to work in! Have a crafty week!
