Whatever the weather at least we can enjoy ourselves touring the world of craft along with hundreds of others courtesy of Julia over at Stamping Ground.
Saturday was Vicky Stampers, our monthly stamping club, and we made polymer clay jewellery. Neet (Hickydorums) and Lynne were our tutors, Neet showing us how to make skinner blends and rope beads in the first session. Then Lynne's turn, again polymer clay but this time rolled out, coloured with alcohol inks and stamped on before punching out shapes. As usual I didn't finish on Saturday coming home with my little flowers ready to go on the bracelet and only half my beads baked.
That's why there is a packet of roasting bags on my table as I finished my beads and backed them in a foil tray inside the bag and they turned out great - thanks Neet for the suggestion. Top of the picture is the lovely gift bag Jozarty brought for me as an 'extended birthday' present and on the right my little dolly, now with hair but still minus a face - overdid it with the hair and she ended up with dreadlocks.

It was great to see you Saturday and what a success you made of your beads. I noly got three of the beehive ones made but I suppose I was gabbing too much!

Lovely indeed but clay is not something I have ever been tempted to turn my hand too :) I just know it would end up one huge ball of muddy colour. YOURS is fab.

What absolutely gorgeous stuff on your desk this week, Ann! What fun you had at the workshop. I must do more with polymer clay - I tend to use the air dry stuff.

Love the flower bracelet - very pretty! Was it tricky to make? I'm going to recycle a lot of my old jewellery first before I do any major buying...at least, that's the theory!!

I thought you were snacking on peas while crafting, but now I see that they are very clever looking beads. How fun all the beads and the class to learn to make them! I love the dolly's hair look. I had that hairdo 15-inches of hair and a couple of months ago. Great flowered bracelet! Very nice!

You didn't show any of the bicones Ann - but then you made 9 of the beehives - wow - what an achievement. Have I missed our on the doll? I think I need to see her and would love to see some of your sewing achievements in real life.

Awww - you look like you've been having so much fun! I love the beads, but am a little mystified by how you "punch out" polymer clay.... can you explain? Is it put through a punch or are you cutting it some other way. And is it before or after it's fired? Whichever it is, those flower beads are fantastic!
