WOYWW 169

Missed last week - nothing to show, and not that much today if I'm honest.  I have done some playing but it's been a busy weekend as we bought a campervan on Monday.  Not got it yet (3 weeks) and Mr B is not convinced we will get enough use out of it before the winter sets in - how depressing is that statement.  He wanted to wait until spring but I won that argument.

I did manage to visit a craft show on Saturday and treated myself to some new stamps and a few Pan Pastels so have been trying these out.

So that's it for my desk this week, new stamps, pastels and a few backgrounds.  My first attempts weren't too great, using too much, but these are better and they do blend very well.

Prior to getting the camper we are having out drive relaid and extended.  The builder was here yesterday to start and hoped to get the hardcore down this morning - not sure he will make it, just look at the front garden at 8:00 this morning....

....and it's raining even harder now, better get out my wellies.

One consolation brought by the rain is the chance to do a bit of serious desk-hopping, first top is Julia of Stamping ground, our illustrious hostess, why not pop over and while away a couple(?) of hours with us.

Hi Ann,Oh dear..driveway works, and new campervan..hmm that'll keep you busy. Like the look of those stamps Ann.Hope the rain dries up soon and you can get back to that driveway. Builders seem to be able to trash a garden/yard ...in 5 minutes. It'll look good when done though.

Oh I would love a campervan too! Love those Dylusions quote stamps, she has a real knack with words, but then so do you so it is a good match methinks. Really like those new PP's, I really ought to use mine more, they make such lovely backgrounds. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #32

Oh heck - a campervan - hope that does not mean we will see less of you at Vicky Stampers.
I will bypass the driveway as it looks ... er ... wet!
Nice to see you Saturday but I didn't see you leave.
Thanks so much for sharing - Hugs, Neet #45 xx

Yes, I think on the first WOYWW I ever joined in with people noticed my bull clip scissor row! and it's slowly spread! It's very useful, as I'm always losing my scissors!!! and if I can keep at least five pairs up there, I can at least find one pair when needed!! Would love a campervan, got rid of our caravan on Ebay last last year...Have a great week Happy WOYWW Lyn #16

Good luck with the drive. I hope we have a wonderful Indian summer so that you can relax and enjoy your camper van. x Jo PS - nice adult only camp site about a mile from here - friends had their caravan there last week. Very nice - amazing views across the valley. You could always pop in here for coffee and brownies!

Have fun with the new camper van and I do hope you get to use it a bit before it gets too cold. The new driveway will be nice once it is done. They are doing a nice job of it so far with minimal mess. Have fun playing/visiting desks on this rainy day.

I would tell you moaning minnie of a husband that a camper van will keep him dry year round!! Not like it's a tent, lol!! I say go for it and take it out for trips whatever the weather!! Lovely new goodies, looks like you're all set for a nice play. Perhaps you can learn to knit the socks in the camper van while the rain is lashing down outside!!

Love the look of your new toys... great just to play around and find out what the pastels can do - looking good! Unlike the weather... but who knows, there may be a glorious Autumn ahead of us with plenty of chance to get that campervan out for some fun! Happy WOYWW!

Hi Ann,

Oh, I'd love to see a photo of the campervan when you get it. I grew up camping almost every weekend and loved it. If I found a cheap little campvan I'd be in heaven! Me and my dog would sport about and have a good time.

Your desk looks nice and full of goodies.

Thanks for visiting me already. I'm slow in getting around this week.

Happy WOYWW

See you tell grouchy that stuff needs to be done before camper arrives, like driveway, planning the interior of camper in your head etc etc lol. you can also use it as your craft room until it get used to go away and after it is parked at home-there good alternative use hahahahaha. This is not a caravan but it is an idea hahaha http://www.djkardkreations.com/p/my-stamping-pad.html
This is a mouse room lol http://anoriginaloneandonlydesign.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/craft-shed.html
