Wednesday again (well it will be tomorrow when this gets posted) and time to share what's on my desk with all the rest of the Whats On Your Workdesk gang over at The Stamping Ground, courtesy of the fabulous Julia.
When I took these photos the sun was shining on my desk and I had to close the blinds to get a half-decent shot, hence the muted colours.  Getting back to normal now after Christmas and spent a lovely afternoon Tuesday crafting, which is a change over the last few weeks when nothing much got done.

Have almost finished the iPad case I'm making.  This is a super project devised and video'd by Laura Dennison of Follow The Paper Trail, it as easy to follow and I love how it turned out.  All I need now are some Graphic 45 drawer pulls to hold in the tablet and then it is finished.  More pictures below if you want a peek at how it stands.

Out for lunch Monday to a garden centre that also (surprise, surprise) had a craft shop so I went on a mini-spend on Monday (that's when you pay with 'proper' money and leave the plastic at home).  Bought a couple of bottles of acrylic paint and the two stamp plates at the top, one a Stampers Anonymous re-issue and the other (words) by Lindsay Mason Designs (new to me but some great journalling phrases).  Speaking of journals, there are the paints in the page, I have no will power and opened the bottles as soon as I got home, mixed them up, splodged them on, splashed with water and dried with paper-towels.  Saw this done on Creative Jump Start and I never thought to splash water to remove acrylic before - it works very well.

Can you believe that I bought some more paintbrushes as well - have put out all my old ones to show you just how many I have.  Think I'm getting like Julia with all her scissors.

Enough for today, here is a closer look at the painted journal pages and the iPad case.

Hope to get round more desks this week so see you on the tour.

Hark at you, showing off with the sunshine, :).I've been following the Creative Jump Start too- seems we can always learn something interesting, doesn't it? Paintbrushes? Moving my stuff, I lifted out a cutlery tray in one of my drawers, and what did I find underneath it? More paintbrushes than any one person probably needs in a lifetime. I blame The Works, myself. They keep having stuff in sales, lol.Have a Great Wednesday, Hugs xx Shaz #64

Looks like you've got a lot of things on the go Ann and how nice to see the sun again. The ipad cover looks great and it's useful too, love the colours on the journal page and I fully understand about using real money for crafty purchases. I do that at my local store, they carry such fantastic brands that I know I'd spend too much if I used my CC, so only ever go in there with a bit of cash!

When I first looked at your photo I thought all those brushes were colouring pencils. Blimey Ann you are a brushaholic!!!
I love that splodgy effect with the paint. That is something I need to try. The colours you've done it with are gorgeous. I bet it'll turn into a great page.
Love the ipad case too, you are so clever.

yeah, thatis definitely more brushes than I have scissors! I will do my best to challenge that, very nearly bought a pair this afternoon..but my darling DD asked why on earth i needed them. And of course, I couldnt tell her! Love the ipad file/folder/holder thingy, it's turned out a treat, you must be very pleased. Impressed too that ou carry enough cash to buy more than a couple bottles of paint...I would have struggled!

Hi Ann,

Tee hee. The first thing(s) that I noticed on your desk is all the paint brushes. Some things you just never have enough of, don't you think?!?

The journal page and the i-pad case looks great.

Thank you for visiting me already!

Ooh, love the idea of the iPad case, it looks rather special. Pity they don't all have them at Vicky or I would be dogging you to tutor a class.
Interesting to read about the acrylic paint and lovely to see your book.
