Just for Fun - Favourite stamp

This is my second post today as I have been a very busy girl this afternoon.  Actually finished three challenge pieces - usually takes me all day to do one.

This week's challenge over on Just for Fun is your favourite stamp.  Now I have more than a few stamps (hundreds) so choosing a favourite is very hard, do I go for asian, nature, words or my latest Stampers Anonymous plate?  Decisions, decisions, hard I know but get your act together Ann and choose one.

Eventually plumped for this stamp as she reminds me of 'Marlene', in fact it could be her but I'm not sure.  Unmounted stamp from a dutch company that I have used again and again, this time on a tag.  Anyway, enough faffing, you want to see the tag.

I really want to start an art journal, I have the notebook ready and raided Amazon for a book by Lynne Perrella on journals and sketchbooks but am still a bit reluctant to take that first step - afraid I'll make a complete b**** of it and give up so this tag is a bit of an experiment for me.

Used a piece of background paper I made weeks ago (mica sprays), inks, gesso, more inks and the movie star stamp and then got out the black fine-liner and white pens and do you know, I quite like it.  Next step - journalling.

LoVe that tag Ann ... very much to my taste! BUT I LOVE Sorrel even more!!!! We lost our precious Jake (a bearded collie) just over a year ago and it was devastating ... we are still not quite over it and miss him so much. Give your bundle of fluff a tickle-behind-ears from me please. Oh and stalking sounds good ... all perfectly acceptable in the world of WOYWW'ing! Debbie x

Hi Ann, Super tag. If this is a sample of what your journal pages will be like then they will be amazing. Go for it! Looking forward to seeing your first journal page.

Lovely flow of colour on your tag and that stamp is a real find. Jump in the deep end and get journalling, you'll get plenty of free info and inspiration if you do a bit of bloghopping. Take a look at Ingrid Dijkers on my sidebar as a starting point. Have faith! As Suze Weinberg says... "Leap and the net will appear"!!
Love Jo x See you tomorrow!

Ann,
I always love to come and see what you are doing.
You have some of the most interesting stamps I have ever seen. You do a great job with them. I'm sure your journal will look fabulous! I started one myself; it is very simple, but fun. I just keep adding colors as I feel like it.

Brilliant tag, I love the colours and the effect you have achieved with that fab stamp. Journalling is something that I find daunting too and don't know if I dare have ago LOL. XX

What a fab tag Ann and what a way to introduce yourself to journalling. I began by painting pages in a journal with gay abandon, and went from there. Will email you privately rather than babble on on here.
Thanks for stopping by and joining in with us at JFF. Hugs, Neet

Beautiful tag - art journalling is so much fun and you should just start. What I like about it is that it is personal and should have no right or wrong way to do it.

Love this, Ann - beautiful colours and your doodles are fab. Great way to start journalling, too. Go on, just try - even if it doesn't turn out perfectly, who cares? It all depends on your reason for doing it - mine's just for me so I don't care too much about the finished effect - it's all about doing what you feel. I'm sure you'll love it x
