Yes, I know puns are cringingly unfunny but I like them OK? Anyway there is something a foot - it's at the end of my leg, and on it is my first ever sock. It may be a bit baggy, and the tension a bit slack but I'm pretty pleased with it and it got better looking the more I did. Also pleased that I was able to get my foot up on the table and balance long enough to take a photo without falling over. Just hope I don't get in trouble with Julia for breaking the H&S rules but then she is a kind, generous soul who organises us every week in to this masooma desk hop so I think I may get away with it.
Shut up Ann and show them your desk.
Other things on there this week include a new stamp set by Stampers Anonymous (say's she who was supposed to be on a strict non-buying month but couldn't resist that face and face parts) alongside a Paperpag Studio stamp (not new), a few bought background papers and one I made yesterday with distress inks in a favourite colour combination. The big stamp at bottom left is one I have had for a while by Provo-craft. Looks like a big date stamp but it has alphabets on each rubber band. Reminded of work when I use it but this is much, much more fun.
That's it for this week. Need to get busy as I have at least three cards to make for the weekend, some knitting (one sock is no use now is it?) and I'm hoping the workshop ring to say they have fixed the leak in my campervan - they have had two goes at it but can't track down where it is getting in. Replaced seals round the window and roof-light and kept it until it rained to check if that has sorted it - fingers crossed everybody.

LOL Ann, love those cosy looking toasty socks, I'm in awe of anyone who can kit. Stamps are rather tasty too. xx
Happy WOYWW. Well done on finishing your first sock, and balancing on the table to take the photo. Those face stamps are fab - but huge! Your 'alphabet-roller' stamp is something I haven't seen before. Must be very useful. Ali x #55 ps Hope your campervan is not leaking anymore.
Crickey Ann, I took is as a challenge and ended up head over heels under the table...the dogs were quite shaken...
see you Saturday,
Dxxxx
Congratulations on your first knitted sock...I hear they are not too difficult. I hope you will make another one for the other foot;)

Well done, knitting your first sock. I was knitting socks last year, but when I've finished my second sock it was not the same length and width
:-( so I have to knit one sock for the second time... Love the new stamps you've bought and the nice colours for your background. Thanks for sharing. Bye, Franka #49

Darcy Bussell's got nothing on you my bendy friend!! LOVE that sock. It is going to be so roasty toasty over the winter months methinks. I have a feeling you'll be getting orders soon! Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #85
Did you REALLY have to put your foot on the table? Now you'll have to repeat it when you finish No2 sock. Make sure you don't knit a left foot one now, tee hee!
Love your stamps! The front face is gorgeous.
Look forward to seeing you Saturday.

You're on the Bits & Bobs list and the Angel list too.

Lol! I'm impressed with your agility!! Gorgeous sock btw - I'm very impressed with your patience to knit such a creature :)
I'm so glad it's not just me who does daft things with the keys...thanks for making me feel better!
And I have a favour to ask. I read your previous post and adore your Asian hearts. Especially the middle one. Do you do orders? If you do, could I be cheeky and ask you to email me with a price. It would be a fab Christmas gift for my son's girlfriend who is very into Oriental stuff :D
Hugs, LLJ #68 xx
I'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
Big hugs,

ROFL - the contortions required to get your foot there - LOL - BJ#35

Hugs to you and Mr. B.

Oh dear, leaks and England - not funny!

Well done on the balancing act!! The sock looks great - practice makes perfect - the next one will be a lot easier! x jo
Ann!! Get your feet off the table girl, you'd never find me doing that!!!! Heh heh heh!! Love those sock colours, get started on the second one otherwise you'll have one hot and one cold foot! My second pair were so much tidier than my first, I was also a bit more confident too though. Great new stamps, we never can resist more crafty stuff regardless of our intentions can we!
Hugs
Brenda
PS. Hope the campervan gets fixed! You'll need it weatherproof for The Lakes!
LOL, and LOL again! My feet as so cold, at the moment and those socks look so inviting! I don't know if I can get my foot ontop of my desk......and take a pic of it!
Krisha #56

Great sock ...one more than i have ever made. I think a baggyish pair would be great for indoors ...to lounge around in....so what does it matter as long as they both match.I had to smile at the thought of you maybe falling backwards while trying to get the shot ....sorry. xx#101
Oooh great socks, Ann! Knitting socks seems to be all the rage atm so perhaps Shoshi ought to get her hand (or foot? lol!) in again! It's more years than I can remember since I knitted socks, and turned heels etc. etc.!
Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - glad you like what I've been up to this week! I'm looking forward to getting that jumper finished now, so I can wear it now the cold weather seems to be upon us.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #16
Love the stamps - I am very tempted - but the socks are fab. One day I may actually finish mine (just the binding of one toe left - you'd think in 2 years I'd manage it....
MA (2) a day late.....
Hi again Ann. All my u/m's have Klingon on them, and I did used to buy storage sheets for them, then tried out a cheaper option. I bought a laminator from Tesco's, only about £15, and I buy packs of laminator sheets from Poundland, you get 10 to a pack. You can either run them through the laminator as they are, which I generally do, or you can insert a piece of paper first. You could( if you were really organised, which I am not) stamp the images on them first, lol. Hugs, Shaz
Huge congrats on the sock. I'm not a knitter so I'm always very impressed by people who are. I love the colours, so bright and cheerful for winter. Just brilliant.
Thank you for visiting and being so lovely.
cheers, rachel #47
