What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday 242

Well I think it's number 242, bit behind the times with blogging. Bit? More like four months but am slowly getting back into it, and stamping which I've also been 'off'.

Is it winter? Could be.  I like huddling down in front of the TV, or my iPad after me and Sorrel have finished our mornings walk, then lunch, then a bit, only a bit, of cleaning of shopping and it's almost tea time, and it's dark so my body thinks it's time for a nap ha ha, if only.

Before I get carried away in my new found enthusiasm I better share my desk this morning.

Main problem has been lack of enthusiasm and total disorganisation of my craft stuff so that when I went in to do something I couldn't find the right stamp, or ink pad and lost heart. So what to do?  Re-organise.   Bought a cheap laminator from Aldi (just love that shop) some pouches and made some stamp mounts to fit in my Really Useful boxes that house my multitude of stamps so now i can find them more easily.  Feeling like a new (stamping) woman this week and I have made four cards so patting myself on the back, not an easy task, I'm blogging a couple of them on my desk above.

Two cards, one stamp - Darkroom Door - watercolour pencils on the 'vintage' postcard which was swiped over with Distress inks to knock back the colour and various water markers on the other.  I like the vintage one best.

Sorry for being so long-winded Julia. It I have four months to make up on, promise to keep it brief in future.  Meanwhile I'm off to do a bit of blog hopping starting over at Julia's

Yep...it's the short days and the dark that is getting to us all creatively I'm sure. At times like this I turn to my knitting....needs no creative thought and I can sit and watch telly too :-)

Hiya, good to see you back Ann! Hope you are ok.
It's funny what blows the crafting embers back into action again, isn't it? Hope your Aldi laminator serves you well :-)

It's good to see you back, Ann. And those cards are stunning. I think you have more stamps on your desk than I own (grin). I had to enlarge because they are so pretty.

Thanks for visiting while I took a break. Happy WOYWW from #1.

I have also been missing a lot recently from the blogs, but I am trying to get my routine back, cos I miss it. I love that Venice picture, especially the vintage one, suits the theme well. Thank you for your visit. My little snooper was very good. she found a little pot of dog treats that had fallen on the floor, and actually had the sense to bring it to me, so she got an immediate treat. I need to find more than my usual 12 x 12 space as I have just ordered the larger Gelli plate so I need to fit that in. Have a good week. xx Maggie #21

I think the darkness hits us all a little. I know I feel more like curling up and hibernating than crafting. Glad you're feeling more like getting back at it though.

Happy woyww

Lovely to have you back Anne! Hope you get your room sorted out, I do better with a tidy organised desk and room too, helps the mojo along I think. Pretty cards on show too, I'm sure the enthusiasm will come back once you get going again.

Thanks for the peek. I'm totally impressed that you made your stamp mounts. I need to use some I just picked up on clearance to get my cling stamps organized. It was lovely coming by on WOYWW. Susanne #66

Hi Ann, Those DD stamps are lovely, aren't they? And they always stamp beautifully. I didn't think I needed that particular one, but I see now that I was wrong :) I love what you have done with them, both of them! I like your laminating idea too, and, luckily, we have just bought one for work!
Thanks for stopping by,

Welcome back and thanks for the visit. It would be nice if spring springs early this year, it's been so wet and gloomy! Helen 23

Sounds like you have been busy with all your organizing! We must be related cause TV and iPad is about all I get done on the days I am not feeling well...those are more often in the winter cause my body protests the cold. Love the cards and the snoop around your desk. Crayons, pencils, stamps, and ink! Oh my a few of my favorite things! Little late getting around this week but hey it is better then never making it to the party! Hope you have a crafty week! Vickie aka Okienurse #53
